Walls On Waterloo Benefit, Friday June 5th, from 6:00-10:00pm

This Friday, June 5 from 6:00-10:00 pm, Waterloo Rd, from E. 156th to E. 161st , enjoy food, drink, music, art, and more.  For information and tickets, call 216-696-9500 or PURCHASE ONLINE HERE. Cost is $30/person, $50/couple.  All proceeds benefit both the Waterloo Arts Fest, Cleveland’s fastest-growing, grassroots, arts-centric community festival, and Waterloo Walls, an initiative spearheaded by Marlee Brown of Shoparooni.

This is all in preparation for this summer’s Waterloo Arts Fest, where about 5,000 people will spend the day on Waterloo Road seeing and making art, catching live performances, shopping an array of vendors, and noshing on local eats, as well as visiting the one-of-a-kind businesses that make this burgeoning district unique.

For more information, go to:

Afterwards, the Beachland will host two concerts:  a Southern roots dance party with Marcia Ball and Bill Kirchen in the Ballroom; and a 60s-style rave-up with the Hi-Risers (which features Jason Smay, drummer for Los Straitjackets, whose interview you can read here) and a Cleveland’s vintage garage rock band, the Alarm Clocks (featuring guitar hero Tom Fallon) in the Tavern.

Those looking for a true n’ twistin’ rock n’ roll rhumba should kick oldies radio to the curb and kick up their heels to the Hi-Risers, seen here tearing it up on a stage in Spain.  First benefit your community, then benefit your soul!
