It’s never too early to think about Saturday, is it? To insure that you won’t let this upcoming show fall through the cracks, we’ve decided to profile a little band from just south of the States: Davila 666.

Those of you who esteem your rock n’ roll know how musicians from foreign countries have been known to take what’s considered an “American” art form, run it through their own cultural processors, and consequently come up some mind-blowing noise.  Those of you who were also lucky enough to have seen Brazilian garage band Garotas Suecas might also attest to this. These South Americans threw out the playbook and blew off the lid at their Beachland show. Folks still talk about it to this day.

With this, we bring you a hot slab of rock en español from Puerto Rico, Davila 666, who’ll be sharing this Saturday night’s bill with the Mannequin Men and Lottery League Clevelanders Gandhi SS. Here’s part of a documentary about the band, called “Dimelo Ya”:

And here’s a hit lauded by the I Rock Cleveland blog, “Pingorocha y La Dica Rockera”:

So while we’re on the topic of Spanish-language rockin’, let’s include the Argentine Charly Garcia, who many consider to be one of the godfathers of Latin American rock.  Here he is with his hilarious new wave hit, “No Me Dejan Salir (Estoy Verde)”:

We also have a cut by hot Mexican ladies, Las Ultrasonicas, “Desconocida”:
